What a sales pitch! She's beautiful, clean, and a hard worker! Marry her!

Does look like sliver wrapped around the distaff. Hmmm...

Feel the comment love! But never, ever, put something as disturbing as a swine fleece on again. My eyeballs are still stinging.

Greatphoto! Have you ever seen anyone spin wool with it wrapped like that on a distaff? Yet it is wool, no?

Dianna

Never spin anything bigger than your head.

Looks like a picture for the marriage market.

She is beautiful, and proud. Lovely!

So interesting. I actually visited Romania back in 1980. They would sell the embroidered shirts, much like the one the woman in the picture is wearing. I think all of us bought one for about 5 or 6 dollars a piece. We also sampled the plum brandy. A bit strong, to be sure. Thanks for the picture.

Her costume is fabulous, but I wish I could see the spindle... all I can discern is cop!

That's quite a distaff too, especially to hold while spindling.

My mom has blouses like that in one of her trunks. Lots of embroidery.

I wonder what kind of book Tracy Chevalier would write with that picture...

Looks a lot like Kate in Lion in Winter

I want that vest!

She is indeed beautiful.
