The artist is Phreadde Davis aka Fibergal of New Mexico, talented artist, fiber artist, and spindle physicist.
"I am a Spinner, Knitter and Painter and a member of the NM Watercolor Society. I am mad about sheep and goats and have nearly caused accidents stopping to take their photos.

after a study at MD Sheep & Wool.

Have you ever visited Kristen Nicholas's blog Getting Stitched on the Farm? She has been posting some great scenes of her sheep and their lambs lately. You'd love them, I bet.

Aren't California Reds akin to the California Variegated Mutants? We told the members of our guild who live in California that we're going get them special T-shirts that say California Variegated Mutants and let them explain that to their friends.

But but but...how can I look deep into her eyes when she's only got one? I'll go cross-eyed! Great painting.

You've definitely got good company in the nuts about sheep department.
