Jean-François Millet
(French, 1814-1875) (more) and (more)
As promised in an earlier entry, I return to Millet, this time with a shepherd overseeing his flock of sheep at sunset.

If you look closely, you will see the shepherd's ever-present dog, helping him mind the flock.
I'm not seeing a sheep dog. I do see a shaggy head, but it looks a lot like a sheep. I just looked again, and nope, I'm thinking that's not canine.

I love the sheeps' attitudes. Lovely. So, what did that painting last sell for, eh?

Either recently shorn, or the forage isn't so plentiful there that year? Can you imagine such an unchanging life?
