Almost summer here! Need to plant that flax closer to cut down on branching and make better bast fibers. Definitely like the bee -- nearly all of ours here have died, they think perhaps due to a poison or a new mite. Very sad. Only a few wild bees left.
We already had spring. We're going on to winter tomorrow. Time's short - don't want to waste any. Keep the seasons rolling. This way we can get more seasons in one calendar year. Besides if flax were to grow here, the rabbits would make short work of it. Better they eat the native grasses that crop up around our irrigated trees.
*sigh* Linum perenne. Taunt us, why doncha.

That is an awesome photograph of flax...it looks very surreal! The bee does not appear to be the right scale...
and spring? please, pretty please...pretty pleeeeaaseee with a cherry on top???? (5 inches in my forecast tonight)
